Budget data

Input for Budget (AFE) cost items per Well Phase (Phase Code).  Note that Cost Group, Cost Class, Cost Type and Charge Type only accept values from the drop-down list for each column.  Values in the drop-down list are fully customizable as they are populated from lookup tables.

For each row, the first five columns (Phase Code, Cost Group, Cost Class, Cost Type and Charge Type) must form a unique combination. In other words: any combination combination of Cost Group, Cost Class, Cost Type and Charge Type may only occur once per Phase (Code).

The total budget amount (for the entire well) is shown in the footer of the Amount column and will be updated automatically when saving a new data row. To view the total amount per Phase Code, simply group the grid data by Phase Code and each group will have its own footer with a total value displayed.

Actual vs. Budget

When the Calculate button is pressed, the budget data will be summarized per Cost Item.  A Cost Item is taken as a combination of the Cost Group and Cost Class values in the budget data grid.  For each Cost Items the total amount will be calculated across all Phase Codes.  For each Cost Item a total amount is also calculated from the cost data in the Daily Drilling Reports.  The summary data is presented as tabular data in this grid and as a bar chart in the bottom-right pane.

Note that both grids, like all data grids in WellRep, may be exported to Excel by right-clicking in any of the data cells.  The bar chart may also be copied to the clipboard by right-clicking, so that it can be pasted into other applications (e.g. Word, Powerpoint).
