The data tool bar has the following functions:
Pin form |
Enables or disables pinning of the form. |
Refresh data |
Reloads data from the database. This is mostly applicable in a multi-user environment where several users are connected to the same database. If one user makes changes to the data this will not become visible to another user until the form is reloaded. If there are unsaved changes, the user will be prompted to save or discard the data before reloading the form. |
Data navigation |
These buttons load the first, previous, next or last logical data entity into the form. Sub-entities (i.e. wellpath, BHA, etc) are restricted to the current well. |
Save and Cancel |
Save or cancel changes to the database. These buttons will only be available if data was changed. Data in grids is automatically saved if the cursor is moved to another data row. Changes to a data row in a grid may also be canceled by pressing the Escape key. |
Calculates data. Each form tracks which data was changed. On particular user actions (e.g. closing the form, moving to another data entity) changed data will automatically be calculated to ensure data remains complete and accurate. Clicking the [Calculate] button will calculate all data for the entity (forced calculation).
