Select tool class

Select the Tool Class for which to retrieve and calculate the MTBF data.

Start date

Sets the first date of the period for which to retrieve and calculate the MTBF data. 
For a tool run to be applicable to the period the Date Out for the BHA run must be on or after the specified Start date.

End date

Sets the last date of the period for which to retrieve and calculate the MTBF data. 
For a tool run to be applicable to the period the Date Out for the BHA run must be on or before the specified End date.

MTBF summary result

After clicking the [Get data] button (see item 6 below), all applicable run data will be retrieved and MTBF data will be calculated by Tool OD (tool size) for the selected Tool Class. In addition to a summary for each Tool OD, an overall MTBF result is also calculated for all tool sizes combined. This record is displayed as Tool OD '<ALL>'.

MTBF run data

All runs applicable to the selected period (Start Date <= BHA Date Out <= End Date) are displayed in the MTBF Run Data grid.  To provide a quick check for incomplete or incorrect data, blank data fields (likely leading to incorrect results) are highlighted in red.  To correct, select the BHA run and use the [Goto BHA] function (see 7 below) to open the BHA and calculate it. If data fields are still blank, it may be required to review daily activities for missing or incorrect activity codes (marking BHA in & out) or tool detail data for missing failure level data.

Get data

After input of the required Tool Class (1), period Start Date (2) and End Date (3), click this button to retrieve applicable run data and calculate the MTBF results.

Goto BHA

Open the selected BHA run in the MTBF Run Data grid.

Click the [Goto BHA] button to open the selected BHA so that it can be reviewed (date-time in & out, tool detail data through tally, etc.) and printed.  When this function is used on another BHA in the list, it will open in the same form (i.e. replace the previous selected BHA in the form already displayed).  However, it is possible to compare two or more BHA's side-by-side by opening the first BHA, pinning the form and then select [Goto BHA] for the next BHA.  Now the two BHA's are be displayed together and can be compared.

Print report

Print the MTBF report.  The report will be generated in a preview window from which a hard-copy report may be printed or a PDF file generated.
