General data

Softdrill NL

All data that is related to a particular date is captured on the Daily Report form.  It is used to prepare a daily drilling report and provides a chronological record of the well.  The General tab contains all data specific to that day.  Each section is explained below.

Report ID

Used to identify the daily report.  Days on well and Days from spud are calculated from the Well Start Date and Well Spud Date on the Well Form.

Daily progress

Calculated from the Activity Log when the daily report is calculated.

Pump information

Pump manufacturer and model are automatically retrieved from the well form.  Liner sizes may be input on a daily basis and should reflect the liner sizes in use at the end of the report.

BOP Test

Date of last BOP test.  Using the Copy Data function on the tool bar the BOP Test date may be carried over from the previous day (select Daily Report Data).

HSE Events

A variety of HSE events (e.g. STOP or Observation Cards, Safety Meetings, Toolbox Talks, etc.) may be logged here.  The type of events (Event field) may be defined in Lookup Data Maintenance.

Summaries and comments

The fields are printed at the top of the Daily Drilling Report and areprovided to give a brief overview of the day, operations at report time, planned operations for the next day (Outlook) and any Comments that may be applicable.

Tracked tool hours

Data in this table is calculated automatically.  From the Daily Activity Log, it is determined which BHA's were in use for the day.  For each BHA, the tools that are defined as 'tracked' (by Tool Class) are determined.  For each tool tracked, the following Drilling, Reaming and Circulating Hours will then be calculated.

1.Today.  These are the hours accumulated with the BHA for the current report date.

2.Before today. These are the hours accumulated with the BHA before the current report date.

3.Previous runs. Hours accumulated on the tool in previous BHA runs.

The tracked tool classes may be defined in the global WellRep Settings.
