Mud data

In principle the Mud tab on the daily report form (ref. Daily Mud Data) is regarded as the preferred location to input mud data.  The Mud tab on the wellpath form is primarily intended to provide an overview of mud parameters on the entire wellpath, yet data may be entered on this form/tab as well.

It should be noted however that mud data entered on the wellpath form is essentially the same data as displayed on the daily report form.  Any data entered on the wellpath form will appear on the daily report form and vice versa.  Because of this, the Report Date field is a drop-down box rather than a date edit field; only dates for which a daily report exists may be selected.

Multiple mud reports per report date are allowed and they are distinguished by the Report Depth field.  Each Report Date and Report Depth should form a unique combination.  The Report Depth should be entered as the depth of the hole at the time the mud sample was taken.

The Mud Types available in the drop-down box may be extended by adding new values to the lookup table.  For more information on adding lookup values, please refer to Lookup Data Maintenance.
