Cost lookup

The combination of the values for the Group, Class, Type and Charge Type fields must be unique within the lookup table.  For a detailed explanation, please refer to Well Budget (AFE).

The Recurring field is used to determine whether a cost item must be included when copying cost data between Daily Reports.  The value specified in the lookup table will be the default value when adding the cost item to a Daily Report.

Note that as many groups, classes, types and charge types as required may be created.  However, it is up to the user (or depending on company policy) to provide the required level of detail.  As an example, it is also acceptable (e.g. for an operator using WellRep) to define the following lookup data (vs. the detailed values shown above) so that lesser items cost must be input;

Providing less detail is perfectly acceptable, however it must be realized that this has an implication on the detail of cost analysis!
