
On the Cost tab, daily costs may be tracked. This can either be well cost or cost of services provided, but this should be done consistently the same (at least for the well, but preferably across the entire database).
Acceptable values (drop-down list) for Cost group, Cost class, Cost type and Charge type are defined in Lookup Data Maintenance.
As discussed under Well Budget (AFE), the combination of Phase code, Cost group, Cost class, Cost type and Charge type must be unique (i.e. may occur only once). Effectively this means that the combination of Cost group, Cost class, Cost type and Charge type may occur once per well phase.
The total cost for the day is shown in the footer of the Amount column. When grouping the data by one or more columns, sub-totals are shown in the group footers.
The Recurring field is used when copying data from a previous daily report. When the Copy daily report data function is invoked, select 'Cost data' and all cost data marked as 'Recurring' will be copied into the current daily report.
Note that existing cost data will be permanently overwritten when copying data from another daily report. This cannot be undone!
