As for the other tool class details, the Manufacturer field can be selected from a drop-down that is populated from a table that may be modified as described in Lookup Maintenance.
The Type field indicates the number of gauge positions available for the AGS. Depending on the Stabilizer Type chosen the Mid Gauge field will be enabled or disabled. For all AGS tools, the profile point in the BHA tally should show the maximum gauge setting and the minimum and middle settings should be specified in the detail data. For readability and clarity, it is recommended to state all settings in the Description field of the BHA tally record (e.g. ‘AGS; 11-3/4” x 12” x 12-1/4”’).
Some (hydraulically set) AGS tools require a specific orifice to be installed to regulate setting flow and pressure, the diameter of which can be recorded in the Orifice field.
For information on the MTBF and failure tracking related fields, please refer to Motor detail data.
